However, one empty chair is a pointer of things to come. The Holy See – a tiny nation in its own right, with a billion citizens around the world – has left its chair empty. And that is significant. If “global warming” still mattered, the Vatican would make sure that its representatives were present throughout this gloomy gathering of world-government wannabes.

My opinion of course, I think there is/was motivation by the Jon Stewart media to rake the tiny nation over the proverbial coals, this past month, because of something like this... although I thought it was to get a 'holy' campaign going over the compassionate need for Amnesty... I did not realize there was a seat for the tiny nation at table of globull warming.

The Holy See has diplomatic status around the world, with ambassadors, etc.
