Mike Barnicle just wrapped up the Obama Parrot of the Week. That's the award I hand out on my local TV show to the MSMer doing his sycophantic best to parrot the Obama party line. Barnicle gave his award-winning performance on today's Morning Joe, in the course of tossing two super-softballs to David Axelrod.
Barnicle's first lob was about the difficulties of governing in this hyper-partisan, cable-TV age. His second softball chastised Republicans for their announced intention to oppose Pres. Obama's Supreme Court nominee. Which raises the question: do the names Robert Borkor Clarence Thomasmean anything to Mike Barnicle?

Barnicle laments GOP opposition to Obama Sup. Ct. nominee. Give me a break ping to Today show list.
I can only wish the GOP would be as tough on any Obama nominee as the Dem’s were to Bork and Thomas. They won’t do it.
The last thing I want to see is anyone on our side slither into the gutter with the dems when it comes to confirmation hearings.
I was so proud of our guys at the health care ‘summit’
They were respectful and they had FACTS.
Mike Barnicle is a flaming twit and one of the many reasons to cause a person to be ashamed of being from Massivetushes. Another one appears in the picture above.
I don’t want them to slither into the gutter either. I don’t want them to roll over either. Considering what kind of people we’ve seen Obama bring into his administration, due diligence should be the order of the day.
LOL.
Very cute.
Thanks, Bahbah: we’ll have some extra fun with it on tonight’ show. And by the way, the parrot in the drawing is a very faithful rendition of Artie, a red-fronted macaw who is a former member of my flock and now training to become a member of a Las Vegas show — seriously!
I’m with you.
Once upon a time each side got their “turn”. We would nominate someone moderate to conservative and they would nominate a radical.
Then the dhimmicrats started borking the nominees.
We would nominate a judicial genius like Bork and they would crucify him. They would nominate an idiot like ginsberg and we wouldn’t even vet her.
I’m all for standing up to them and defeating them - if it has to be the gutter then that’s OK by me.
[insert Barnicle plagiarism reference here]
The Dems are so certain of their right to rule that when Kennedy saw Bork at some DC affair some years later he approached him and said, “You know I meant nothing personal in what I said.” This goes beyond tone deaf. It reeks of saying that you should know ANYTHING we do is for the good of the country.
Sometimes the shortest distance between two points is through the mud ;-)
Due diligence, with dignity and respect.
Is that a pic of Biden pre-plugs or post-plugs? . . It took a while for them to grow in, but thats how its is when you have to plant so much ground.
While you are dithering about Marquess of Queensbury rules being adhered to, the country is burning.
Dither away.
