The dictatorship of relativism is alive at the University of Notre Dame. While the 88 pro-lifers who peacefully prayed on campus during the 2009 commencement fiasco still face charges and possible jail time, the homosexual movement is welcomed.
From April 12-16, Notre Dame plans to host a pro-homosexual "Stand Against Hate Week." According to the promotional flier, the events are being sponsored by various groups, including the Office of the President (Fr. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C.), the Office of Student Affairs, the Core Council for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Questioning Students, the Feminist Voice and Campus Ministry.
Why should any Catholic university cater to the homosexual movement's agenda and sow moral confusion among students?
Ask ND's Board of Trustees to cancel the events The week-long program mentions a screening of the pro-homosexual film "The Laramie Project," a lecture in the Carey Auditorium titled "Homosexuality Under the Dome: Past Struggles and Present Solutions," free t-shirt distribution, and finally a "Day of Silence" on April 16.
Important to remember is the fact that the "Day of Silence" is a pro-homosexual propaganda tool designed by GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) to persuade young school children and college students to show sympathy and acceptance for homosexuality.
To counteract this moral threat against the innocence of children, nineteen pro-family organizations formed a coalition encouraging parents to walk out of school with their children on the "Day of Silence." Exodus International is also sponsoring a nationwide "Day of Truth" in schools.

And now, GLSEN's "Day of Silence" agenda is being welcomed right into the hallowed halls of Notre Dame. In fact, the moral teaching of the Catholic Church condemning homosexual acts as "intrinsically disordered" is what is being silenced.
In fact, beginning in 2004, the University of Notre Dame started hosting a yearly "Queer Film Festival." One such event featured Terrence McNally, author of the blasphemous production Corpus Christi that portrays Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles as homosexuals.
Reacting to the scandal back then, TFP Student Action lead multiple petitions of peaceful protest addressed to Fr. John I. Jenkins, politely requesting that he cancel events that promote homosexual vice. Thank God, we believe these efforts made a difference. According to an article published in The Observer on February 16, 2009, "not only will there be no gay film festival this year [at the University of Notre Dame], it's probably kaput for good."
Protest this new scandal at ND
TFP Student Action invites its members to contact Notre Dame's Board of Trustees today. Ask them not to allow the university to become a vehicle for the homosexual movement. It's a matter of Catholic morality. Honor. Fidelity. And truth.
What will the protest achieve? Maybe the scandal will be canceled.
More importantly, God will be honored by our peaceful action. Our faithful protest against the sexual revolution is like a prayer that rises up before the throne of God. Together we affirm: "Even when others abandon Thee and scorn Thy Law, my Lord, I pledge to remain faithful to Thy Commandments."

The illusion that the homosexual lifestyle is a normal way of living has been successfully propagated by promoting a “victim” image for homosexual persons, and by the pseudo-science alleging a ‘gay” gene.
Of the reports alleging, or promising soon down the road, a “gay” gene, not a single one has survived scientific peer review. There is no “gay” gene.
On the other hand, the evidence does show that homosexual persons are indeed victims — but overwhelmingly of their own behavior, not that of others.
Typical homosexual behavior includes regular contact with fecal matter from oneself and from sexual partners, tragically reversing several centuries of learning about cleanliness, and thus several centuries of growing lifespan. Homosexual behavior makes no more sense than playing in the toilet.
All available evidence indicates that the lifespan of practicing homosexual persons is drastically shortened by their behavior. No reliable study indicates otherwise. The lifespan topic is taboo among homosexual advocates because the evidence is so damaging to their case.
Not sure I understand what you mean. The CSCs still control the university through the reserve powers held by the Fellows on the board of trustees, all of whom are Holy Cross priests.
Th problem seems to be that nobody out of that (by the way self-selecting, self-perpetuating) group seems to have --- or admits having --- decisive executive power. Not the UND President, not the CSC Superior, neither here or in Rome.
The buck does't stop anywhere: it just goes around and around and around.
It seemed to me a slippery, evasive, and insular form of leadership, and I wish I had a better grasp on how it all works and where to put the leverage.
Even "Let's withhold donations" seems unlikely to work, since anyone of a conservative Catholic sympathy has long since stopped giving to Notre Dame. After so many donors ditched them during the shameful Obama episode, who's left to exert any pressure?
I'm baffled, frustrated. What's your advice?
The Fellows of the University are a "self perpetuating body," consisting of six members whom at all times must be "members of the Priests Society of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Indiana Province, and six of whom shall be lay persons." So here's the thing. While everyone here likes to rag on Notre Dame saying it's no longer Catholic and all that rot, they simply aren't right about many things the University does. On the other hand, they do some things that make you scratch your head like allowing the Vagina Monologues, giving Obama an honorary degree and catering to gays. Hate the sin, love the sinner is kind of what they do. But again, there are some really good and decent people at Notre Dame doing really good and decent things in South Bend, the country and the world.
As for not answering to Rome. They do and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This order has a long history of fighting Rome, but not theologically. Notre Dame was financially strapped in early years and asked for money from France where the order was founded and Rome where they hoped the Pope might intercede on their behalf and ask the French order to send them more money. But make no mistake, the order and ultimately, the University answers to the Pope. They do have some autonomy and independence to offer a wide range of religious studies. And now I suspect there will be those who wish to throw stones at me about my alma mater over what I've written. All I ask is to read carefully what I've written. Not all things they do are bad. I don't agree with all of them, but they do some very kind and decent Catholic things.
I find gays to be vile and morally reprehensible. I know it sounds cruel but they are absolutely disgusting.They wouldn’t pick up poop with their bare hands but they are more than willing to expose their penis to it.E-coli,Hepatits,salmonella,etc. This does not disgust them?
