New details have emerged in a foiled plot to bomb New York City's subways, as authorities reportedly arrested another suspect in Pakistan.
The unidentified man is the fourth man arrested in connection with the plan to stage a series of suicide attacks on subway trains last September. Law enforcement officials had said more arrests overseas were likely. This suspect will be extradited from Pakistan to the U.S. where he will be charged in Brooklyn's Eastern District Court, The Daily News reported today.
The suspect will join Zarein Ahmedzay and Adis Medunjanin, accused of being the planned second and third suicide bombers. The leader of the plot, Najibullah Zazi, has pleaded guilty to terror charges . He is helping authorities piece together details of the plot, which Attorney General Eric Holder called called "one of the most serious terrorist threats to our nation since September 11, 2001."
