I've received an excerpt from that e-mail from the local Taxed Enough Already Party;

"If you are interested in combating the lies and ignorance of the Tea Party Movement, they have scheduled a rally April 15th at 5:30 pm at Soldier’s Field of all places. I will have an air horn and a few extra signs to spare but feel free to bring your own. Hope to see you there"

I hope we hear a follow-up to the school email complaint.

In better news, I think I just got a HUGE raise!

Remember 0bama promising not to raise taxes on anyone making over $250,000?

Well, after the Healthcare bill was signed,
the federal withholding went up on my paycheck,
telling me that I now make over $250k!

Isn’t it great!?

Yes, how do we contact this school/school district to protest the actions of the teacher?

So, the TEA Party is going to be protesting high taxes and abusive government. Are the counter-protestors going to be saying that taxes aren’t high enough and government isn’t abusive enough?

""We really want to make it a family event," Maves said. "We really want to try and get away from this stereotype that people have that we are this angry bunch of people."

Very, very smart.

And misused government computers in order to do it. Nice!

Walter Williams’ recent column has opened my eyes to how “they” see it -

they see us as wanting to “impose responsibility” on them,
and they despise that as much as we despise them for
wanting to impose authoritarian collectivism on us.

still waiting for proof of said “lies” that the Tea Party are spreading...

They're saying that Obama is an anti-American socialist or communist who is spending $1.7T a year more than the government brings in and who has bungled every decision he has made since taking office (with the exception of choosing a dog). They're saying it is bad for the government to nationalize health care, banking, manufacturing, and other industries. They're saying that freedom is good but dying under Obama/Pelosi. You're right, I can't find any lies either.

No doubt about it. There are some people who just cannot accept that they are responsible for themselves, so anytime they face any sort of difficulty, instead of planning for that difficulty, they think that it is someone else’s responsibility to take care of them.

Sent him a little message:

“I have just heard about a teacher using the district's email resources to solicit support of an “anti-Tea Party protest”. This is just abhorrent behavior, and sincerely hope that the teacher us subjected to the strictest discipline that can be meted out for he situation. There is no place for pushing politics through the resources of the school district. I am livid to think that this type of behavior would be condoned. Thank you for your consideration of my remarks.”
