Good question - lets take a look at it:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Hmmm... I dunno. All that legalese in that sentence... hard to wrap my mind around it. So complicated and so hard to read with big words and all... Better hire a lawyer to read it for us... [/extra-ordinary sarcasm off]

Where in the 2nd ammendment does it state that felons may not own firearms? It doesn't. But common sense dictates that you know damn well who you are loaning a loaded firearm to.
