Yes. Her uncle Mordecai informed her that all the Jews, including herself, were condemned to die by the decree issued on the advice of the wicked Haman. She, being in a position to try to persuade King Ahasuerus to overturn the decree, was persuaded by her uncle, who said, "It may be that you were born into the kingdom for such a time as this."

This is a similar circumstance. Esther made up her mind to petition the king, at risk of her life, saying, "If I die, I die."
