An unauthorized tell-all biography of media mogul Oprah Winfrey contains details so shocking, the author claims she has been blackballed from appearing on most major media outlets.
Kitty Kelley, famous for her unauthorized biographies of American icons including Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Nancy Reagan, is back at it again with her book, “Oprah.” And Kelley says the salacious details -- from Winfrey’s "concocted" stories about childhood poverty and abuse to tales of secret lesbian affairs -- could do so much damage to the talk-show host’s image that her high-powered media pals, fearing alienation, don’t want to come anywhere near the author.
In an interview with the New York Times Magazine, Kelley said she has been rejected by nearly everyone in the talk-show circuit.
“In promoting this book, we have already been told by Barbara Walters’ producer, ‘No, you cannot be on ‘The View,’ I cannot disrupt my relationship with Oprah. Joy Behar, the same thing. Charlie Rose. Larry King said, ‘I will not do it, it might upset Oprah. Even David Letterman.”
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that the entire ABC network has banned Kelley and any promotion of her book, aside from a news report on its release.

I could not give less a damn about the writer or the subject, but it is very telling how the media covered her other subjects, but when she covers a member of the Obama-friendly media? Where’s the 3-parter on NBC?
I’m hearing that there’s proof that Oprah didn’t come from poverty as she claims.
That never stopped ABC and “The View” from laying out the red carpet for the authours of that book by Mark Halperin, the “Game Changer” which proceeded to trash Sarah Palin, nor did it prevent cBS for opening their arms to that bald headed bozo who run John McClain's campaign, Steve Schmidt, to appear on “60 minutes” and spew out vicious anti-Palin bile did it? The MSM keep digging their own graves every day.
Kitty Kelley is a nasty liar for all the crap about Nancy Reagan but she clearly picked on the wrong target. If you keep dishing dirt on REPUBLICANS, Kitty, you’ll be welcome on The View, Leno, Letterman, etc.
Which tells me that, as well as being a liar, Kelley is an idiot.
....personally, I’ve always thought Oprah was full of it...but she’s part of the whole white guilt shtick that’s been going on for a while now in America...in that scenario the wise Negro ‘schools’ poor ole dumb Whitey...who then falls to his knees in gratitude and admiration.

I won’t buy any of her books. The only interesting angle to look at would be if these libs who are now shunning her embraced her when she trashed Republicans.

That's why I am taking her side against the media. I've never brought any book of hers, and I sure as heck won't buy this one. Nevertheless, the sheer hypocrisy of the lamestream media is staggering. They were treating her like royalty when she wrote that book trashing Nancy Reagan. They couldn't wait to get her on their shows, even though that book was nasty and vicious. Today, all of a sudden, they have discovered "morality" and good taste? Gimme a break!

Supposedly her cousin said she asked Oprah why she made up stories about poverty and being molested and Oprah’s response was “It’s what people want to here. The truth is boring”.
What I’m reminded of is that smuck who wrote a bogus book about his drug addiction and Oprah promoted in her “book club”. The book shot to number one then it was determined it was all fiction. So Oprah has him back on and tore him to shreds for lieing to her. He had to pay the publisher back. I wonder how he feels right now.
What I have read on the internet is nothing but bs teasers. Nothing shocking.
Nothing too shocking except maybe Oprah lied about her poverty, her dad and being sexually abused.
