We are all Tea Partiers today.
Whether we’re marching on Washington or demonstrating in our own town. Even if we’re home with kids or at work like usual. We’re all Tea Partiers, and if circumstance doesn’t allow us all to stand shoulder to shoulder, we do stand heart to heart.
Today, we are one.
And the people they show on the evening news are representatives of us all. We may not carry signs, but we do carry Liberty’s torch. We cherish our freedom, we love our country, we’re not standing still anymore.
We’re demanding to be heard.
From Massachusetts to the halls of Congress. Through the spring and summer and to a crescendo on Election Day. The Founders left us a country and an electoral system and we’re going to use the one to save the other.
For a year, the Tea Party people have been mocked and marginalized. Characterized as racists and ignoramuses, we are the butt of jokes on the network news and in the college classrooms. The self-appointed elite and the vermin in Washington have had a good laugh at our expense.
And we are close to returning the favor.Because this year will be bigger than last year, and next year will be a celebration. By next year, we will have broken their back and we will have momentum for 2012.
This is about a president and a Congress who are having a national tickle party. This is about a ruling party and a ruling philosophy that are hostile to the values of more than half of America, who are being unfaithful to their oaths and to our heritage, who have turned the United States into the type of government we stood in defiance of 50 years ago.
Barack Obama is the man who is making Nikita Kruschev’s promise come true. In league with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and any number of shrill, domineering and arrogant liberals, Barack Obama is the first American president who seems to truly dislike America and its people.
In one short year, the government has expanded, the debt has skyrocketed, our security has been weakened, freedom has been abridged and the people have lost confidence. It seems that the Democrats and RINOs are intent of changing America into everything that is failed about Europe. We are led as if our nation is spineless, clueless and hopeless.
Which is what led to the Tea Parties.They are not a product of someone’s organizational skills. They are not created by organizers or talk-show hosts or any of the folks who clamor for the microphone and the TV camera. No, the Tea Parties are the patriotic, principled and powerful aggregation of Joe and Betty America, regular people who’ve had a bellyful.
Regular people who love this country and understand its founding and guiding principles. People who work jobs and build society and obey laws, the folks who pay this country’s mortgages and taxes, who find the sweat of their brow confiscated at ever-higher levels to put bread in someone else’s mouth.
Barack Obama and the Democrats are socialists in fact, as demonstrated by their own words and deeds. It is not a comical accusation or a rabid overstatement. It is a simple assessment, the reality of the situation, the crisis of the day.
And we’re throwing them all in the bay.
This Election Day and the next and the next. Today we assail them with signs and slogans and speeches. Red, white and blue and Don’t Tread On Me. Those who can demonstrate and those who quietly support. A placard held high overhead or a simple flag pin, we are heart to heart and we are on the march.
And victory is ours.
Because our cause is just and right makes might.
And though the reporters and the Democrats and the RINOs will laugh today, at the FUBO signs and the Gadsden flags, they will be laughs of fear and doom.
Because we are on the march.
We are all Tea Partiers today.
I think I turned a new (Tea) leaf today... I used to care what the MSM says about us, now I really don’t care. The truth will prevail.... God will be victorious!
AMERICA IS WAKING UP!
TEA does that.
And it doesn’t stop, slow or end at all today.
The Tea Party is the best thing for an increasingly divided America, it may form a more defined definition of left and right but that much better than a vague lukewarm center that Obama wants for a Communist America.

I’m typing this from an Alexandria hotel, and will be heading into DC with my husband in about an hour. We drove down from NY yesterday. (Spend last night at a pre-tea-party happy hour that I stumbled across while doing web searches. The place was packed, and many people seem to have found out about it like we did - by chance. We met one woman who had never protested before in her life, but felt that she had to do something - none of her friends are political, so she drove in from Missouri, by herself, figuring that something would be going on today. Very impressive.)

That hits home for me. If we lose our country and freedoms to the evil leftists/commies, I’ll never have to live with myself for doing nothing. I’m protesting, talking, sharing information, smf sending money (FR and Heritage Foundation mostly).
