I was in Boston, was also in attendance at last year’s truly grassroots Boston Tea Party. This was huge! The highlight for my 11 year old son who came with me along with my 82 year old Mom...was the takedown of a smelly hippie by some cowboy. The hippie had a sign that read “God hates flags” and he had a small burnt American flag in his pocket. Well this cowboy who most likely was a vet...told him to take his sign down a few times and the hippie refused. Next thing we see, is the cowboy practically topples the hippie, rips up his sign and stomps on it...the surrounding crowd told the hippie loser to leave which he promptly did to go crying to a Boston cop. Never saw the cowboy again.
I myself told a hippie trying to conspicuosly smoke his joint that I was going to get the cop, which I did and of course when the cop came over, hippie was gone. I saw him again and pointed to the cops and he disappeared. I did see his stupid sign on the news. Read something about patriot and patriots being terrorists.
A lot of smelly uniformed lazy college hippies...pathetic counter protests.
We had a blast....lots of sun and fun and great spirits and a great day out with my son and my Mom...3 generations enjoying a patriotic day in Boston...
Later on when we were walking through the common, my Mom and I were sitting on a bench and some pervert started talking to my son who was feeding the birds and squirrels. I could just tell something was up, bolted his defense and asked my son what the pervert said. He told me he wanted to take him to lunch. I said to the perv, “did you just accost my son?! you better leave kids alond!” He booked out of the common and across the street, I would never had time to hail a cop. Some young guy did asked me If I needed some help.
So great day with a disturbing end. My son handled himself well...he was walking away from him and not answering him...I can’t tell you how fast this went down.

Glad you had a great time, except for the perv! Exactly the reason why my 9 y/o daughter has a first degree black belt in taekwondo!!
It would have been better to summon security on the guy with the anti-flag sign IMO. The incident could’ve given the left and the media exactly the kind of footage their looking for. I understand the cowboy’s irritation, but we do have to be ultra careful about how we behave.
Besides, the guy has his rights to be there too.
As for your son, I’m glad you were close at hand. Now THAT guy deserves to be tackled and pummled, IMO.
