Description: When I first came across this groups link, it had already been taken down by Sgt Stein. I did not have the opportunity to read any of the posts by Sgt Stein. I only read that he felt like he was forced to remove the group. I was curious as to what rules or laws he had broken by having this group. Was it the associatio...n of the Armed Forces with the Tea Party movement? I continued this group because I felt like it should continue to be a forum for anyone to express their opinion on any subject. The Tea Party is a loosely organized group of millions of people who are concerned with the growing tax debt and want to share their ideas with others and their government. Feel free to share your opinions. It's your right. (read less) When I first came across this groups link, it had already been taken down by Sgt Stein. As a Navy veteran I was jolted when I saw the Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots page for the first time. Uniformed armed forces personnel are not allowed to participate in public political activities (I think this falls under the UCMJ) due to their answering to a civilian government (a good thing) and it also doesn’t contribute to unit cohesion. This is just another sacrifice our military members make on our behalf in order to serve our country which most Americans are unaware of.
