This is a good thing.
Deal with it. Hold it out of doors. A stadium might work.

Wilkesboro is a small town.I realize that. That's why it was unwise to choose a venue that didn't have the physical plant to support a huge turnout.

:^) Gee, I wonder why such a huge crowd is anticipated? Could it be people are hungry for integrity and courage? Maybe they just want to see a rock star and a former FLOTUS. :)

WCC officials were initially told to expect between 5,000 and 8,000 people, but that that anticipated attendance has grown to 30,0000 (sic) or 40,000... "we're gonna need a bigger boat"....CLICK IMAGE

Hagaman told board members that covering everything needed to address such a huge crowd “would require a Herculean effort.....”
It’s summertime! How about the local football field?!!!Sounds like WCC is looking for a reason to welsh on their deal with Laura and Sarah. Too many people would PAY to come. Excuse me?! Wasn’t the initial idea to RAISE MONEY for the college?
Oh yeah! That makes sense now. They don’t want THAT many people, or THAT MUCH money! Is this a commie-lib school?

In this case ‘Palin’s fault’. :)
If they can make accommodation for all these people I wonder what the media will say the turn out was, since it’s not being put at more than 30,000?

I don’t see a conspiracy here - just short-sightedness.

Bit of a haul but I’m surprised that small of an area has the ability to pull in both Palin and Mrs. Bush

That place is huge - it looks like 30,000 people would be no problem. And obviously it would have the parking and road system to handle the traffic. I think throwing some carpeting near the podium and some paint on the nearby structures would be the way to go.
And at the very start, say something to apologize for the accomodations. “We didn’t anticipate 30,000 GREAT AMERICANS to show up! And I think we have all had enough of the all show and no substance that has been coming from Washington lately. So let me introduce who you are really here to see - Sarah Palin and Laura Bush!!!
(P.S. - they could maybe just use some wite-out on those Busch posters!)
