Rush Limbaugh and Bill Clinton Square Off Former President Worries that Anti-Obama Rancor Could Turn Violent By TEDDY DAVIS and STEVE PORTNOY

With the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing approaching, former President Bill Clinton has drawn parallels between the anti-government tone that preceded the 1995 attack and the political rancor that has greeted President Obama's new administration.
In a major speech to the liberal Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., today, Clinton urged political and media leaders to remember that "words matter" and that they fall on the "serious and the delirious and the connected and the unhinged alike."
"We can't let the debate veer so far into hatred that we lose sight of our humanity," Clinton said.
Conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh, in response to Clinton's speech, told his listeners today that the former president has "set the stage for violence" that would be "squarely on the shoulders of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama."

Playing three extended sound bites from Clinton's speech, Limbaugh flipped the script.
"Bill Clinton, with the sound bite you just heard, just gave the kooks out there an excuse to be violent," Limbaugh said. "He just offered them an opportunity to be violent."
One of the Clinton sound bites that set off Limbaugh was the former president's saying "right-wing, radio talk-show hosts" kept people in "white heat" in the period leading up to Tim McVeigh's bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building April 19, 1995, killing 168 people.

I was at Penn Tower, about 5 miles north. Heard a huge boom, thought a plane had broken the sound barrier right outside of our office, and then saw a huge black plume of smoke.
KTOK1000, kept repeatedly broadcasting they were looking for 3 middle eastern men in a brown pickup speeding away from the scene of the blast.
Jayna Davis, and the Los Angeles times, has done a whole lot more. Reports say McVeigh photographed with Iraqui at local bar prior bombing.
