The jobs were lost because labor is cheaper in other countries and American companies are motivated by profits. This trend did not start in '07.

The trend started when Americans got greedy in the early 60s, screwing themsleves and fellow Americans to save a few bucks.

American companies are motivated by profits. OMG! Profits? We ought to do something about that. Maybe the government should take over? We'd never have to worry about profits again.
