Army Gen. Ray Odierno said that al-Qaida's strength in Iraq is steadily degrading. Unless there's a dramatic and unforeseen change in the security situation, the U.S. troop drawdown will go ahead as scheduled, he said.

Unfortunately Al Qaeda has scheduled the dramatic and unforeseen change in the security situation to begin shortly after the U.S. troop drawdown. But it's ok since nobody on our side could foresee anything like that.
We are still spending the same amount of money on the Iraq War today as we were spending during the height of the surge. Where is all that money now going?
We should withdraw from Iraq, as well as Afghanistan, at the same time — via Tehran.
Take a good look at where that is and factor in a 350nm combat radius [I am allowing for extended loiter and non-permissive in-flight refueling environment]. Target is Iran...
