SNIPPET: "OKLAHOMA CITY - It's a day many will never forget, April 19, 1995. The day 168 innocent people were killed after a bomb destroyed the Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City.

"The fact that somebody to make a political statement killed 168 of our neighbors and friends including 19 babies; I could never understand it and I can't understand it to this day," says former Governor Frank Keating

The former governor reflected on that tragic day during a memorial service at the First Christian Church Sunday. Years later, the governor still feels the pain of that day when he found out what happened. But he also remembers it as a time when Oklahoma City came together as a community."

http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/the-alfred-p-murrah-federal-building-explodes

Apr 19, 1995:
“The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building explodes”

SNIPPET: “A massive explosion at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, kills 168 people and injures hundreds more. The bomb, contained in a Ryder truck parked outside the front of the building, went off at 9:02 a.m. as people were preparing for the workday. Among the victims of America’s worst incident of domestic terrorism were 19 children who were in the daycare center on the first floor of the building.

A little over an hour after the explosion, Oklahoma state trooper Charles Hanger pulled over a car without license plates in the town of Perry. Noticing a bulge in the driver’s jacket, Hangar arrested the driver, Timothy McVeigh, and confiscated his concealed gun. McVeigh was held in jail for gun and traffic violations. On April 21, an FBI search for McVeigh in the national crime database showed that he was incarcerated on these misdemeanor charges in the Noble County Jail. The FBI, requested that he be held on the Oklahoma bombing charges.”

SNIPPET: Soon, three friends of McVeigh—Terry and James Nichols and Michael Fortier—were also arrested for their involvement in the bombing.”

Children who had no choice or say in their fate died in Waco, too. I always include them in my rebembrance of OKC.

" ... The fact that somebody to make a political statement killed 168 of our neighbors and friends including 19 babies; I could never understand it and I can't understand it to this day, ... "

I guess all manner of statements similar to this will be uttered today.

Half the year could be set aside for memorializing senseless killings ... if we include the Islamic madmen and their horrific homocide bombings.

What I've never understood is how McVeigh could have been that incredibly stupid.

And that is why I have always contended there was outside help but they intended McVeigh to be the patsy and cover their tracks.

And that he was executed in record time.

” including 19 babies” What about the 50,000,000 aborted babies? Are they mourned any less?

An amazing bit of luck for Trooper Hanger. Does it strike you as odd that someone who planned and carried out that bombing would then drive a getaway car with no license plates?

The torching of the Branch Davidians and subsequent killing if innocent young children is something the dims and the mean streak media would like to forget . Tea partiers have NOTHING in common with the OkC. boming . These continued attacks and lies about the Tea Party have only served to make us more commited to the cause ,,, less government intrusion and out of control taxing and deficit spending etc.

This is the same fellow who “found” the truck axle that contained the serial number that identified it. It’s a shame that people forget all the weirdness that surrounded that event.

If you are ever to believe in Government Conspiracies it would be the OKC Bombing. Sorry, I’m not convinced our Government won’t sacrifice you or I to change the direction they want to mold us all to go in. They wanted to show extremism with that group and apparently it worked.

McVeigh was the star of a plot to fool the American people into believing that most of the organizing of grass root people, like the Tea Party members now, are the real bad guys. Looks like they have started to root them out again, who knows who or whats next?
