No. White people want the government not to help them.
To: Kaslin
Frankly I don’t buy it, but if true...hey, those who live by Balkanization shall die by Balkanization...
To: Kaslin
Equating the tea party movement to whiteys only purports the myth that those in the movement are racists.

Tripe. Moderate and Conservative Americans come in all shapes and colors. Palin has much more to do with Hockey Moms than ethnonationalism.
To: Kaslin
We must be entering the post-post racial era.
Can't we just have a constitutional republic?

I knew he was an antisemite, but I didn’t realize he was a racist as well. Being American has nothing to do with one’s racial background. It would be so nice if Buchanan would crawl under a rock and die.
To: Kaslin
Why are charges of racism not working?
IMHO, because everything is blamed on racism. When something is turned into a catch-all joke, people pay it no more attention.

There’s a white tribe all right, but it does not have to do with the tea party movement. I look at the young white kids who have tribal piercings and tattoos and ear thingys that slowly expand the holes in their ear lobes. That’s white kids looking and acting tribal. They seem to stick together and separate themselves from other groups by their look and musical taste. I don’t think this is a good trend, because it seems designed to shock and scare grown-ups, which are the group we really need them to join.

Like most of Pat’s stuff this would read better in the original German.

"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and ... the jobs have been gone now for 25 years. ... So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." This elitist statement that spewed forth from Obama's mouth must be chiseled in granite.

.
The “real Americans” are not White or bBack, or Asian or Hispanic.
The real Americans are those who call out for liberty.

And, “through the looking glass”,
the “other side”
doesn’t want “responsibility imposed on them”.

Right along side “they should be thanking me”.
and
“let them eat cake”.
Oh, he didn’t say that, but he might as well have.

The coming conflict is not so much racial as it is cultural, political and tribal.Fixed that quote, now it makes sense.
