"I think any other religious sect would be treated with politically correct gloves. We cannot be even slightly harsh with battle field radicals at Gitmo."

Good grief. Get a grip. Since 9/11 there have been THOUSANDS of search warrants executed on all manner of Muslim encampment - apartments, homes, charities and even dozens and dozens of Mosques - almost all without incident.

The feds had a properly executed search warrant for the compound. What was the government to do, ignore the warrant and let the Davidians just go about their business?

The warrant was based on falsified affadavits. The entire federal investigation was completely bogus.

Texas Child Protective Services had investigated the allegations of child abuse at Mt. Carmel and concluded there was no basis for criminal charges.

Waco was one of the greatest examples of flagrant abuse of power by the US government in history.

I'll take "Wait for Koresh to make one of his frequent trips to town" for 100, Alex.

The POLICE have a policy that if a HIGH SPEED CHASE starts to endanger innocent motorists, the chase is called off.

The warrant was for arrest based on 'illegal shortening of a shotgun barrel'.

Was the CRIME enough to justify killing everyone?

Couldn't they just have backed off and waited to arrest Koresh when he next went to town?

Telling lies fabricated from whole cloth to a judge is a "properly executed warrant?"

I don’t consent to your claims on thousands of executed warrants. I also don’t see how it responds to gitmo or a range of islamic conciliatory gestures which are never challenged as church state wall breaches. The federal government executed it’s warrants in a facially absurd manner. It is textbook on what not to do. Local law enforcement would have and should have been allowed to do better.

The left wants to construct Christians as dangerous and Muslims as innocent victims. American soldiers Are anti Muslim bigots worthy of all violent resistance. That is how the left frames Thjis discussion.

Your claim just does not hold.
