Koresh was a very bad man, but he was also a very bad man who went into town on a regular schedule and could have easily been confronted and apprehended during one of those weekly trips.

It was government incompetence that lead to the seige and it was government incompetence that ended it so badly.

The government did successfully put a stop to the alleged molestation by incinerating the children.

It wasn't just about apprehending and questioning Koresh. It was about - and the search warrant was obtained for searching the compound. The authorities needed to gain access to the compound, and a federal judge agreed. Why is that so difficult to understand?
