Same here.
I was a teenager, and I remember the riots. Also wondering what in the world is going on? Between the riots and the hijackings, and terrorists on ships, it seemed like the whole world was doomed.
The current state of world affairs reminds me more and more of those times. I do expect the left to resort to increasing levels of violence. They are trying to foment “war” between the minorities and whites as well as rich and poor.

Doubt if any of his conservative competitors *would consider* endorsing Jerry Brown for Governor of California. Probably would have to rip their microphones from their bare hands before they would entertain that idea.

According to historical documentation that in 1956 at the age of 27 martin Luther King registered as a republican. In the South during the turbulent years leading up to the Civil Rights Movement - the democrats of the south were opposed to the civil rights movement. Southern Democrats desired segragation and the like. dr. Avela king also states the same.
Okay I lived in the south to seek a Masters of Divinity in Jackson, Mississippi at a conservative seminary in the 1994-1996. I moved to Mississippi from Missouri where I worked as a youth minister and took credits through correspondence from 1993 - 1994 from the same seminary.

Okay, I can see where I should have been clearer. Intelligence wise our soldiers are the most educated and intelligent. Thanks to the policies recently put into place, however, they are not being properly trainined to meet battle field demands. Discipline and physical rigor are being “dumbed” down. As a result moral will also decline. We need a change in direction and we need it asap.
The immediate threat (imo) is the established, but unconstitutional agencies that have weapons and full police powers. They will kill Americans. We've seen evidence of this with Ruby Ridge, Waco and Elian Gonzeles (sp). Although some within the groups murmered about the methods used, they still went along with it.
Another FReeper, posted several other cases yesterday that he is aware of regarding individual cases that have ended with these true 'jack booted thugs' killing American citizens.

Dr. Savage is right on target, as usual. Obama is a totalitarian at heart and a dictator wannabe. The few shreds of our Constitution that remain have so far stopped him from fulfilling that ambition. But they’re doing everything they can to rip those few shreds and destroy America (which they spell “Amerika”) altogether.

Regarding physical requirements, the manual that the army uses for physical standards and administering the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) has not been revised since Sept of 92 with a minor change taking place on 01 Oct 1998, so I don't believe your information is correct. It may be a result of that age-old military phenomenon of ineffective rumor control.
Looks like some further exporation into my information is needed.
