By Kerry Picket on April 20, 2010 into Water CoolerEditSubscribe At a press conference on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, dodged questions from reporters about his party's close ties to Wall Street, while he attacked the GOP for the Republicans' Wall Street connections.

When asked about the numerous finance lobbyists on Capitol Hill and their efforts with the Democrats, Mr. Reid responded, "There are more than 1500 lobbyists here to work on this bill. Push back is coming from those who don't want any changes in this legislation just as with healthcare. "

With all the former GS folks in the Administration, one should denote Obama thus:

Someday we’ll find out that GS and the WH planned this whole thing together. The SEC comes up with a plausible case against GS (could have been any big financial house, this crap goes on every day) to make the case that we need a big overhaul because GS wants the bailout nation as badly as the RATS do.

The worst that can happen is a fine, which no matter how big it sounds, is always a pittance relative to the means of these brokerage houses.

I loathe conspiracy theories, but given the cast of characters, this is seeming more possible to me by the minute.
