Yep, lot’s of land yachts, blue fuzz and knuckles as the old saying goes....
Family used to have vacation home up in Idyllwild....
I hiked up there a few times....
Took the Palm Springs tram up and hiked back to Idyllwild...couple times. One was a great hike..with my older daughter..when she was around 9-10 yrs old..and a neighbor kid..a couple years older..and two guys I worked with. It was a great trip...spent two nights..,went to the top of San Jacinto Mtn. and hiked down to Idyllwild.
The kids still talk about it...That had to be like 94-95....I think.
Down here in lower R’side county, we call the oldsters “Q-Tips”.....’cause that’s what they look like when that’s all you can see if you’re behind them as they creep along Highway 111 through the Coachella Valley.
