Absolutely. My parents have been members since the early 60s, 47 years to be precise.

I’ve been insured with them since I was able to drive, 24 years now. Have checking, savings, auto, homeowners, IRA with them.

I got into an accident once and the guy I exchange info (he rammed me at a 4 way stop) asked ‘Who is USAA, I’ve never heard of them’. I laughed in his face. Stupid Bay Area liberal.

Agreed. I have both cars and my house insured with them, bank with them and have a majority of my retirement savings invested with them. I laugh at the GEICO, Progressive and Allstate commercials promising to save me money on my car insurance. They never seem to compare their rates to USAA.

When I call them they always address me by my former rank and are very helpful. Their website is super friendly, too.
