Either California goes to war against its unions or it goes to bankruptcy court.

I’ve always said that unions were the foundation that communism is built on. It seems as though I was right. It has always pissed me off the way unions use the American flag as a prop.

Fruits, nuts or flakes...

Did a contract assignment there, and the description fits what I saw.

in ours,

No bucks or aid of any type, of course, but since they’d determined that sinking was the way to go, who are we to stop them?

It makes me wonder if the next civil war here will be waged between government workers who will demand to keep their lucrative jobs and pensions and entitlement program parasites versus all other workers out there actually producing something who are fed up paying increasingly onerous taxes to support such a massive number of government leeches.

This was not a budget. It was a tax increase proposal.

Ireland is in a similar hole as California.

The Irish solution?

Simple: a 10% accross the board cut in public employee salaries.

Problem solved.

Sorry folks but from what I’ve read the majority of taxpayers have already fled the state and those left behind can’t pay anymore.
