Judge Holds Emergency Hearing In Blagojevich Case Defense Motion To Subpoena President Barack Obama Contained Sealed Information That Was Visible In Some Electronic Formats
CHICAGO (CBS) ―
The judge presiding over the corruption case against former Gov. Rod Blagojevich summoned attorneys to his courtroom Thursday evening after information in the case that was supposed to remain under seal was released to the public.
Blagojevich's attorneys had filed a motion Thursday asking to have President Obama give testimony for the ex-governor's corruption trial.
The filing contained several paragraphs that had been blacked out -- or redacted -- because the information had been sealed by court order. However, in the electronic version of the motion, computer users have been able to copy and paste the blacked out portions into a separate document and read the passages as an unredacted version.
Zagel held a 6 p.m. hearing to meet with attorneys. Assistant U.S. attorneys handling the case and defense attorney Sheldon Sorosky appeared in court Thursday evening, but Zagel held the hearing in out of public view.
Parties in the case declined to comment on the matter afterward.

Miller cited a U.S. Supreme Court ruling from Paula Jones’ case against then-president Bill Clinton. In that opinion, justices stated, “the president, like other officials, is subject to the same laws that apply to all citizens.”
Miller said that ultimately, it will be up to the judge to decide whether the president must provide testimony in the Blagojevich case.”

2. Rezko admitted to FBI agents he gave CASH to Obama.
Blago’s attorneys have been trying to get copies of the FBI/Obama interview tapes but have been denied access so far.

My point is that there appears to be very little “noise” in the media about this earth shaking revelation —that there may well be proof that Obama directly lied and it recorded in court documents.
We all knew this here at Freerepublic, because we saw the news articles about Obama meeting with Blago to discuss his senate seat—those news articles were scrubbed from the web, fortunately some freepers have archived the images.
THIS situation, on the other hand is in full context of the court, it was leaked to the media, and certain news outlets—like CBS Chicago, Fox, Drudge etc covered it—and now SILENCE.
Drudge does not take down big news in 24 hours.

Extremely disturbing. If this had been Bush, I guarantee you that they would have been investigating and talking about it non-stop everywhere. Drudge greatly disturbs me. Is the coup complete?

News stories covering Obama meeting with Blago re the Senate disappeared. Some FReepers tracked them down (cache?). That’s a link to one that directly contradicts Obama’s statement (see the youtube link) and, according to Blago’s recent motion, what Obama told the FBI.
Lying to the FBI, regardless if the underlying act would be a crime or not, IS a crime. Ask Martha Stewart.
