She is an American who immigrated from Canada, not a problem for appointment to the USSSC.

Yes, she is Canadian born. Considering we have a Kenyan as President, the intellectual leap to appoint a foreign born member to Scotus is really little worse than appointing the lead attorney for the ACLU (Ginsberg)to the court.

Granholm shares that interest saying, “I think it's a very wise move to consider experience that is not just from the judicial monastery because -- I mean not just me but Janet Napolitano, people that have applied the laws that Congress enacts, that have seen their impact on people, that -- you know, I mean I'm from the most challenged state in the country. And, you know, for somebody to experience and see what everyday people are feeling and experiencing out there, I think is an important thing to consider.”

Uh oh, we got us another one of those Socialist/communnist social justice activists, that wants to ignore the Constitution to do what she feels good. (Just like our wise latina friend on the court, with the wisdom of all her *sniff* life experiences.) Judges aren't there to solve problems, they're there to apply the law. Legislators and the Executive branch are there to solve the problems. This person ought to be banned from sitting on the court just for not knowing what a judge does. These people need to learn that judges aree *bound* by the law, they are not supposed to make it. Congress should impeach judges for gross attempts to usurp legislative powers...that is definitely bad behavior that should be grounds for removal from office.
