...but that the explosive device itself did not come in contact with the hull of the South Korean ship, the official said.Well, I'm no military genius but isn't that how a torpedo works...by coming in contact with the hull of a ship ????

I imagine it could be construed as such if irrefutable proof is found.

No, most torpedoes explode under the ship. The resulting pressure change breaks the ships hull.

I think the point of this is; What if this was Bush? The Dems and MSM would be saying "another failed Bush policy of engagement! Bush engages and KJ IL pokes him in the eye! Bush foreign policy FAIL! etc etc etc.

Pretty close to true, but don't forget that Conservatives and Talk Radio are responsible for this racist act.
Other than that, you got it absolutely right. ;-)

KJ Ill will continue to up the ante, figuring that the more he provokes, the more likely U.S. taxpayer dollars will come his way.

Probably. But sinking a SK warship with half the hands on deck may evoke a different SK response than normal. Instead of US tax dollars KJI could find himself cut off from all aid or on the receiving end of HE wrapped in metal

There will be Korean blood spilled and it is not going to be all from South of the DMZ.

Modern torpedoes generally have magnetic-influence detonators; they explode under the hull without making contact, creating a bubble of gas that breaks the keel - essentially the spine - of the ship so it splits in half.

I think there is a agreement between NK, Iran, Syria Venezuela, etc to stir up trouble in concert.

And by pretending there was any doubt and delaying the statement, they have given themselves an excuse to ignore direct military attack.
Inventive new cowardice, the new frontier in leftist political technique...
