You do know that our state does this very thing and has for at least the past two years, right?

The Alabama statute will allow police to check the ID's of vehicle occupants on suspicion of legal status, only when the driver is pulled over for some other type of moving violation, or other offense.

The interpretation here is that the AZ law will allow police to pull someone over, simply for RESEMBLING one who might be an illegal alien, just so the officer can check to see if his suspicions are correct.

Now, I haven't confirmed yet if that interpretation is legally accurate, or just uninformed emotional blowback from its passage. If it is legally accurate, then yeah I've got a big problem with it...as should many others if we truly value our liberty. Arizona has a problem and a right to act...but not if it trumps inherent rights.

Which can and does include DL and insurance inspections.

I'd suggest land mines and free fire zones.
