New Evidence: Bin Laden in Iran as of 2007
World Threats ^ | 4/26/2010 | Ryan Mauro

One line sheds light on Bin Laden’s condition in Iran:

“In the movie, Parrot said the Iranian regime is giving bin Laden “a long leash” but is holding his family hostage in Tehran in the event bin Laden revealed his relationship to them. “This was confirmed by one of bin Laden’s sons last year,” Parrot said.

This seems like a very plausible theory. As Parrot mentions, one of Bin Laden’s sons has confirmed that his family is being against their will in Iran. One daughter escaped via the Saudi embassy.

Osama’s been dead for a long time.
It’s amazing how people occupy their minds.

So why would a notorious Suni be holed up in Shiite-ville?

Could be. The story has been floating around for years. If OBL still lives, which I personally doubt, he would have needed some good medical care vs. living in a cave somewhere in the hinterlands of Pakistan. Iran would have afforded him the facilities, given his medical condition(s).

You and I will probably never no, but the spooks have a pretty good feel for it one way or the other. If he ain’t dead, he’s so compromised he’s relatively unable to do much of anything. Sometimes, knowing what an opponent is up to, is more useful than actually taking him out. That would be my second guess.

What movie, and who is this Parrot person? (Also the author may want to fix some of those errors in his blog posting)

“So why would a notorious Suni be holed up in Shiite-ville?”

It does seem improbable, but the old bit about, “The enemy of my enemy, is my friend”, comes to mind.

I suspected it was Iran, or China, or Russia.

OBL would be a beautiful “get out of jail card” to any of those regimes. I would imagine he knew that and could trust anyone to not sell him out.

I thought it was, "the enemy of my enemy blows my camel".

If Spanish were this easy to learn, I might have to re-think the AZ immigration law. ~:^)

I was thinking keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

You’ve apparently not been paying attention. sunnis and shiites kill each other as a matter of course. They have no problem banding together when there are Christians, jews or other Infidels to slaughter.

There was a one-day attack inside Iran in late 2007 or early 2008 by U.S. ground forces against a building or buildings near the Iraqi border. It was reported that dozens of terrorists were killed. Anybody remember that?

Taken from the lord of the rings:

"In the land of Mordor Islam where the shadows lie.
One Ring Caliphate to rule them all, One Ring Caliphate to find them,
One Ring Caliphate to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them,
In the land of Mordor Islam where the shadows lie."

China and Russia are at war with Islam. Their wars against Islam are brutal.
