So the water level was 13,000 feet higher during the Flood than today.

Wonder where the water went?

I don't feel like crunching the numbers, but that's a lot of water to make disappear.

And the Algorians are worried about an inch per century...

I believe this water is today referred to as “OCEANS”

Google it :-)

Where did the water go? The face of the earth is 80% water. And a whole lot more is found within the mantle of the earth.

National Geographic wrote ( http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2002/03/0307_0307_waterworld.html ) that “more water probably exists deep within the Earth than is present on Earth’s surface — as much as five times more.” Whew!

If you read Scripture, you’ll see what happened. Before the flood, there was some water on the surface of the earth. But when the flood began, water poured out from the depths (from the mantle) and from some sort of cloud layer. As water came out from within the earth, areas over those caverns may have collapsed, leaving mountain ranges in their wake.

This really is a fascinating subject. Too often people simply dismiss thinking about it, making fun of it rather than considering that it may really be true.
