Tom McClintock Rips Arnold In a Skirt (Meg Whitman)
Time Magazine ^ | 4/28/2010 | Mark Halperin

Posted on 04/28/2010 9:28:02 AM PDT by Caliconcarne

Wow, Tom lets rip on Meg. And check out his radio ad for Steve Poisner as well. I know a bit about Poisner, and Tom endorsing and doing this string defense of him makes me feel a lot better about the crap that Meg has been smearing Poisner with.

You are right on the mark. If Poisner got the nomination, Brown would make mince meat of him. Even his campaign ads make Poisner look incompetent. While no fan of Whitman, she has the ability to beat Brown. So, it comes down to a choice between Whitman or Brown as governor. I will hold my nose and vote for Whitman as Jerry Brown will make even Arnold look like he did a good job. Kind of like how Obama makes Carter look good.

AMEN!

McClintock is my congressman and I trust him. Having
said that I am not convinced that his choice can
defeat Jerry Brown. And, not for ONE second do I be-
lieve that an average RINO is just the same as Jerry
Brown. If you haven’t experienced Moonbeam Brown, be-
lieve me, you don’t want to.

I have yet to make up my mind regarding the two major
GOP candidates. Certainly, some of the info concern-
ing Whitman disturbs me. However, I will not rule out
supporting her because the Brown option is just not
doable for me.

Who do you think TIME wants to help? Poizner or Jerry Brown?

Conservative, former CA Secy of State, Bill Jones, endorsed Whitman.

Jones, a businessman and rancher who also represented the Fresno area in the state Assembly, said in a statement that Whitman meets California's need for a "proven job creator to turn around our economy and get our state moving in the right direction."

Well you're here...LOL , so that makes two

But good guys can't get elected in this state, so I'd settle for someone who can get the budget balanced.... my real dream would be to see CARB abolished or at least chopped down to mortal status

Well, I meant good guys in the SUBJECT of the thread, but you knew that, anyways, all California bureaucracies that duplicate a Federal bureau should be closed and law repealed. Cal EPA, CARB, Costal Comm, BAAQMD, “Medical” pot, all of ‘em.

Kind of like how Obama makes Carter look good.

HAH! Preach it brother.

Honestly we can have that Poisner/Whitman debate all we want. I just lose patience for out-of-staters trying to tell me what's best for me when I have to live here.

Meg Whitman is a total disaster. As for the electability issue, Poisner has a billion dollars to spend against Jerry Brown, he just doesnt talk about it, and all the crud that Meg is saying about Poisner are outright lies.

Tom McClintock does NOT endorse lightly. He is my congressman, i trust him. Do some of your own research on the candidates backgrounds and real positions and see why Tom endorsed him.

Im good to go with Poizner.

So true, but so few people actually get it.

This is California, land of 10 + million in LA county and millions in the bay area. These two cesspools are loaded with various form of extreme liberal rats who would vote for old Joe Stalin before they voted for a conservative. The rest of the state does not have the numbers. Moon beam would do things to this state that would make even the most hard core commie rat blush.

As for the senate seat who cares if it is a RINO. With all the far left liberal socialist rats from conservative states to pick off, CA should not matter other than to remove the witch Boxer.

I would love to see DeVore win it all and will support him 100%, but when the primary is over my $ will go to states were a real conservative can win and I will hold my nose in the general.

Agreed.

Agreed.

OK by me, same here, just not excited.

McClintock is the only guy who's never disapointed me.

Same with Brown and Poizner. Although, Poizner keeps flipping back and forth on that. Until the Supreme Court says differently, there is no governor that is going to change the way abortion is handled in CA in any meaningful way. It is a non-issue right now. Unfortunately, Reagan signed an abortion bill into law while CA's governor. And, as we both know, he regretted it.

This election is about the economy and fiscal conservatism. Whitman is the most fiscal conservative of the three.

Poizner supports the same funding depending on which day it is. Plus, it’s the law in CA, so your opinion as well as Poizner’s changing opinion on it is irrelevant. I wish non-Californians would just butt out and stick a sock in it. You have no idea what is going on here and how badly we need someone who is fiscally conservative to attempt to turn this thing around. This election is too important to lose to Jerry Brown. Poizner is a fraud and will never win. Go ahead, have the last word. To you, it is just a silly debate on a website. To us, it is our lives and our livelihoods we are talking about.

Screw California. You probably thought that Pete Wilson was great.
