Tom McClintock Rips Arnold In a Skirt (Meg Whitman)
Time Magazine ^ | 4/28/2010 | Mark Halperin

Wow, Tom lets rip on Meg. And check out his radio ad for Steve Poisner as well. I know a bit about Poisner, and Tom endorsing and doing this string defense of him makes me feel a lot better about the crap that Meg has been smearing Poisner with.

He will give us multiples terms of Jerry Brown and seal CA’s fate for good.

Heard the ad on the Brian Sussman show this morning and it confirmed my earlier opinions about Meg and Carly.

What a shock.

The lefty Marky Halprin from left wing rag Time and whose DAD is big shot at MOVEON.org is doing the old Divide and Conquer scam.

Neither one of these CA GOP candidates is a great choice but anything beats the vile and dangerous Jerry Brown !

Whitman is running for entirely selfish reasons.

She'd run as a Rat if they'd let her, but there are many party insiders who are ahead of her in line, so NO, and don't you dare to try and split the vote, Meg.

So she runs as a Republican and splits that vote, or if, surprise, the California citizens and illegals pull another Ahnold, the Rats have another leftist Governor in office, and Meg gets to protect and grow her (but only hers) fortune.

A can't lose plan for the Rats.

Poisner is just as big as a RINO and he can’t run away from his record fast enough. The guy has never seen a tax he didn’t like.

McClintock is misguided on this. Poizner ran for an Assembly seat in the city next to mine, and he tried to out Democrat the Democrat and still lost.

Face it, neither Whitman nor Poizner are conservatves. But Whitman is so far ahead in the polls that she has won. Mail voting starts in a few weeks and no way Poizner can turn this around this around in that time.

So, drop the circular firing squad. Whitman is way better than Brown and has the bucks to stand up to the full court press from the public employees' unions.

The governor's race is set: Whitman v. Brown. We need to try to get Chuck Devore on the ballot to kick out Babs.

You are right on the mark. If Poisner got the nomination, Brown would make mince meat of him. Even his campaign ads make Poisner look incompetent. While no fan of Whitman, she has the ability to beat Brown. So, it comes down to a choice between Whitman or Brown as governor. I will hold my nose and vote for Whitman as Jerry Brown will make even Arnold look like he did a good job. Kind of like how Obama makes Carter look good.

First, you are wrong. It's California, not South Carolina. A libertarian has a better chance of beating Brown than a "consistent conservative" in California.

Second, Poizner is not a "consistent conservative" and, as a wonkish, white GOP guy like me, Poizner has much less of a chance to take votes from Jerry Brown than his opponent, Whitman, who will draw women and minorities.

Third, I don't think either Whitman or Poizner are so great, honestly. I'd have chosen Naritelli. But I sure as heck am going to pick the one who has the best chance of sparing us from Jerry Brown!

Thank you! Finally a voice of reason. It makes me sick to have non-Californians on here bashing the one person who can spare us from Moonbeam. No, she's not perfect. No, she wouldn't be our first choice, but she's our best chance at avoiding a futher slip into the morass. I wish everyone with no stake in it would just butt out.

This is our livelihood we are talking about here, not some game. Whitman is talking a lot of good sense about bringing jobs back and cutting taxes on small business. We are dying here.

If Brown wins, get ready Texas for a waive of Californians moving in....

One hurdle is that the old Wilson RINO regime still controls the CA GOP, thats how Ahnold slipped in after the wilson recall, it should have gone to McClintock or Issa The Wilson regime for sure wants Mega Wit.
