Congress does in fact have to vote to admit the new state to the Union.
Know one PR’an. He’s a Dem, but a good man, good Father, and has a nice family. I can’t really guess if he would secretly vote R if he knew the candidate was just better...... and never admit it. I did get along with him at my former job (before the change) but he always reverted to some liberal talking points.
I was thinking more along the lines of a state by state vote on the state level. Wishful thinking on my part. We better get to calling our congresscritters and making our wishes known LOUD AND CLEAR!! Tell them that their procedural votes matter and we don’t care if it’s binding or not at this time. If they vote for it..WE VOTE THEM OUT!
Not true,...precedent was Tennessee....and it would be rascists to keep them out...that would be the plan.,
