Break out the pom poms . . .

Check out Norah O'Donnell's reaction to the news that Charlie Crist is poised to enter the Florida senatorial race as an independent.

Appearing on Morning Joe today, the MSNBC correspondent was absolutely giddy with excitement at the prospect that Crist's independent run could give Democrat Kendrick Meek "a real shot!"

I do kind of agree but looking at the options, extreme liberal and way liberal, Rubio still has my vote. Martinez was terrible.
Illegal immigration and global warming are my two priorities when picking candidates.

Sadly you are right. Most elections turn into a contest of picking the least worst candidate. I really want to say that Rubio is a conservative. But when I hear things like "concern"... ugh.

If I was in Florida, I would still probably vote for him because of that criteria. I just hate the thought of potentially sending yet another pro-shamnesty candidate into public office.

Such a pretty woman, such a hateful heart. It became apparent when she spoke with such venom about Sarah Palin and I refuse to listen to anything she has to say.

Understand this, everyone:

There are dozens of elected Republicans out there who make Crist look like Reagan as far as his dedication to conservatism: In one state alone, you have Rick Perry, Kay Hutchison AND John Cornyn. Let alone the obvious ones like McCain and Graham. Hopefully people like Specter, Jeffords, Chafee, Bloomberg and Crist are waking people up to the saboteurs in our ranks. Thank God we got rid of the Doles, but watch out for the more insidiousones now out of office, but pulling strings, like Dick Armey, Grover Norquist, etc.

“Wh-wh-what?” you ask? Don’t Cornyn and Hutchison have strong ACU ratings? Yes, even the ACU has been infected, purposely ranking only the votes that make the Wall Street Republicans look good.

In 1980 the media cheered when John Anderson ran as an independent against Regan and Carter. They were certain that Anderson’s run would return Carter to the White House. My history book indicates that it didn’t quite turn out that way.
