Why Obama should not have checked 'black' on his census form

I have always considered Barack Obama to be biracial, and I had hoped that his election would help our country move beyond the tired concept of race. Unfortunately, the president is not getting with my program.

Although I knew Obama self-identifies as African American, I was disappointed when I read that that's what he checked on his census form. The federal government, finally heeding the desires of multiracial people to be able to accurately define themselves, had changed the rules in 2000, so he could have also checked white. Or he could have checked "some other race." Instead, Obama went with black alone.

Despite being raised by a white mother and white grandparents, despite have spent most of his childhood in the rainbow state of Hawaii, despite clearly being comfortable in almost any type of crowd (though I suppose Tea Partyers might give him pause), the president apparently considers himself only black. "I self-identify as an African American. That's how I am treated and that's how I am viewed. And I'm proud of it," he has said. But he also argued in his famous speech about race that he could no more disown the Reverend Jeremiah Wright "than I can my white grandmother." With his census choice, he has done precisely that.

I am the mother of biracial children (Asian/Caucasian) and believe that multiracial people need...

In all my years and of all the thousands of people I have come to know, I've never known a bigger general all-round sleazebag than Obama. I mean, he tops the list and there is a massive gap between him and the next biggest one.

In fact, Obama is such an extremely unique sleazebag that all the other sleazebags seem quaint and endearingly human by comparison.

Funny thing too, the aforementioned comment isn't even hyperbolic! If anything, it's an understatement!

Obama is just that d@mn bad!

Realizing and facing up to the depth of Obama's horrible, horrible nature and character is like a bad dream. He's even worse, by an order of magnitude, than you thought.

Learning the ever unfolding and evolving truth about Obama is like buying a new house and learning that it has termites. Then the termite inspector discovers a crack in the foundation.

Then you learn its not just a crack in the foundation, but the house is situated on a sink hole. Then the sink hole actually opens up in your front yard and your wife drives your new BMW into it and drowns.

Then your house falls into the sink hole. Then the sink hole swallows the entire neighborhood including the school your child attends.

Then entire town is swallowed up, including your employer and the bank where you have your IRA and the brokerage firm where you have your portfolio.

Then your lawyer tells you the City is filing a law suit which blames you for the entire disaster.

Then you learn your wife, now deceased, was having an affair with your lawyer and was preparing to accuse you of mental abuse...and he had squealed to the National Inquirer and Oprah.

And then you wake up and realize it was all a bad dream...but that Obama is still the president!

And then it hits you square between the eyes...you would have preferred the nightmare to the reality of an Obama presidency!

As a multi-racial individual Obama should have had the good sense to be offended by any such question appearing on the Census. Of course, he was not.

I know many inter-racial couples and often wonder how their children are going to react to these hideous questions that are forcing them to choose sides?

The scary part is how many blacks in America share his attitude, and given the power and authority, they would be the same. The left has really done a number on the black community over the years, they are trained "victims", told that all their troubles in the world stem from "whitey" and that "whitey" has stolen all the money that rightfully belongs to them.

Obama may check “black”; but in his prepared TV addresses to the nation in recent months, he invariably appears almost white—surely the result of a heavy make-up job.
