Back in the mid-1980’s, there was a TV program about the fall of South Vietnam on one of the networks. I almost smashed my TV set when a column of North Vietnamese soldiers were shown as the commentator announced, “these are the men who defeated America.”

I go to a nail salon that is operated by a brother & sister from Viet Nam. The young man told me he called his father today and he was very angry. He said 35 years ago today the U.S. betrayed us....my father went to prison for 7 years. So every year at this time he becomes very angry!

I just said “Yes, you were betrayed”....
