NEW YORK - Two New York men have been charged with providing material support to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network, prosecutors said Friday.
Wesam El-Hanafi and Sabirhan Hasanoff were accused of agreeing "to provide al-Qaida with, among other things, computer advice and assistance, services, and currency, knowing that al-Qaida had engaged and was engaging in terrorist activity," the federal indictment said.
The two were arrested overseas and recently brought back.
