I think this was ground patrol but nonetheless.. Why don’t the Sheriff’s vehicles (or Sheriff’s) have GPS on them? (maybe costs are an issue) It took over an hour for authorities to locate him.. He could’ve died in that time.
Or simply have a cellphone in the “on” position.
Motorola makes a hand held radio with a GPS in the microphone, but it totally eats up your battery life.
