I keep wondering why I have not seen more on the guy who was found in a subway tunnel with a backpack that contained calcium cyanide and highway flares. The only reference I have seen was in the crawl on FNS on the day it happened.
I think most of the incidents during Bush’s years never got beyond the planning stages. I remember when he left office, some agency provided a more detailed list of the various attacks that had been prevented, in almost all cases, before they were attempted. Something like this wouldn’t have been possible to cover up anyway.
However, there were jihadi moments in New York such as the attack on the Orthodox Jewish students on the bridge, etc. and the one incident where one of the conspirators got cold feet and went to the police just before a bombing was to be carried out, enabling them to prevent it.
