Here is a link about this attempted bombing. It was two alert street vendors who pointed out the car to the police. One suggestion was that it was near the station to shows South Park which is accused of insulting Islam by showing Mohammed in a bear costume:

...Seriously, yes, I read that report earlier (here on FR of course). The vehicle was parked right outside Viacom's head office, Viacom being the media conglomerate which owns Comedy Central.
