SANTA CRUZ — Downtown business owners spent Sunday repairing shattered windows and doors after a May Day rally Saturday night turned into a riot with approximately 250 people marching along Pacific Avenue, some carrying makeshift torches, throwing large rocks and paint bombs, and spray-painting walls with graffiti.

At least 18 businesses suffered damage during the rally in honor of international workers that began at 9 p.m. and escalated into mayhem around 10:30 p.m., police said. Investigators estimated damage at $100,000, though some business owners said it could be more. No injuries were reported.

Good thing the weren't Tea Partiers - they've all been rounded up and dumped in detention camps and an edict issued that any further demonstrations by Tea Party Americans would be considered an act of war against the U.S. - and thus acted upon as such...

The first edict for exercises in readiness to combat the Tea Partiers has already been issued - NOT A JOKE

(intel advisory) - “ issued on Friday, 23 April 2010, and identifies the terrorist threat adversaries as “Local Militia Groups / Anti-Government Protesters / TEA Party.”

http://politifi.com/news/Military-Exercises-550524.html

Their spin on the bomb that didn't go off in NYC is being spun as “a white male” and a substance that "looked" like fertilizer” - meant to invoke ‘same as the Oklahoma bombing!” - right wing extremists - TEA PARTY! -

even though the original listing of bomb components in the van did NOT list anything like fertilizer - and the taliban tape claiming victory was filmed a DAY BEFORE what they thought would be a successful bombing.

That the gov’t is IGNORING, yet again another terrorist act in U.S. soil is bad enough (ignoring terrorist attacks on America during the Bubba years is what got us into this whole mess) but to use it as an attempt to go after peaceful, LAWFUL, demonstrators if pure fascist evil.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Spoiled brat filth of California is who these garbage are.

This had nothing to do with "international worker solidarity", all of these thugs have never done a day of work in their lives. They hang out on Pacific Avenue and try to intimidate people ordinarily.

The SCruz cops shoulda mopped up, but the Commie Council that runs the city holds them back. Happily, it was some of their shops that got vandalized.

But then, they damaged other people's property in the 60's riots, so payback's a Beetch, ya know?

The liberals in Santa Cruz will roll over on their bellies and take it. No questions asked.

You can count on that.

Yeah, I noticed that most of the shops mentioned in the news sounded like left-wing hangouts. Ironic.

The town is full of left wing hangouts.

We have taken family out there to the beach and boardwalk (carnival rides) a few times. If you can dodge the hippies it is fun.

But just try to find a decent restaurant for dinner.
We couldn’t. Driving back home we stopped in San Fran to eat.

Santa Cruz...beautiful place if it wasn’t full of dried up old hippies and new, young, idiot wanna-be hippies.

So sad.

And not ONE bit of damage was caused anywhere by a “right-wing domestic terrorist” (Obama’s term for his opposition). Who’s the extremist now?

SO?

Let the businesses get together and file a civil suit against the White House for inflammatory speech.

Won’t go anywhere but it will place the BLAME where it belongs. And the weasel won’t be able to “uh” his way out.
