Three men sprayed tear gas on an elderly Jew outside a French synagogue Sunday, the second violent attack on Jews in the country in three days. The attackers of the elderly man left behind an anti-Semitic slogan, according to the London Telegraph.

The attackers, still at-large, launched the attack as the man, described as being in his 80s, was waiting outside to attend daily prayer services, Nimes Jewish community leader Paul Benguigui told the newspaper. Nimes is located in southern France.

I can only hope that:

1. Guards of some sort will be posted at synagogues

2. They French toss out Muslim immigrants

Or, if these criminals are homegrown, beat them in the public square.

I have no idea if firearms are allowed to be carried in France, that’s why I suggested guards. Cops? Rentacops? Jews with fire arms would be best but given that it’s EU I have no idea.

Many Synagogues do have guards. I suspect that if the guard, if there was one, would have been punished for shooting at the hoodlums.

I wish they would stop saying “French” and start saying “Muslims living in France”...

Any country that forbids personal possession of firearms is a dangerous place to be.

Oddly enough, I wouldn’t recommend a gun. A knife is better.

The way this works is that a plainclothes security guy is there on the scene, as is a discreet bucket of 50/50 chlorine bleach and water. If some individual attacks, or is brandishing a weapon, the security guy approaches him at the angle, gives him a nice, long gash, then walks away, dropping the knife in the bleach water on the way.

As a rule of thumb, deep knife gashes are even deadlier than bullet wounds, and are very difficult to treat in an ER. By dropping the knife in the bucket, the bleach destroys any DNA evidence on it.

Everybody on the scene imagines a different knife user in a different direction, and the real knife user stays away for at least two months as a minimum, so it helps if he has common connections elsewhere.

Not only that, they forbid any attempts as self defense.

Any country with a majority population of either leftists or Muslims is a lawless nation.

Swords, daggers, lances, shields, nunchucks, longstaffs - anything and everything.

Maybe it is time for some of us to wear swords again. :)

I'm for that, an armed society (any arms) is a polite society. Further, I'd like to be able to demonstarte, firsthand, to punks like MS-13 what a real bladesman is. It isn't hacking up some unarmed and untrained schmuck...
