WASHINGTON -- The Census Bureau said Monday it is being watchful about potential dangers to its workers -- ranging from anti-government sentiment to everyday accidents -- after six died in auto incidents in the last week.
At a news briefing, Census Bureau director Robert Groves said the traffic deaths were of concern since temporary census workers are fanning out in neighborhoods around the country to conduct interviews until mid-July.

Saw one today....she came to our door just asking for directions to a house number on our street...I tried to be nice....plus I know 3 others who are working the census and are white...
Just more censusless fatalities caused by those who don’t want to be counted. There is definitely got to be a consipracy behind these accidents.

The one that “caught” me was Asian..........the two that came and didn’t catch me were white.
I’m one and most of my class of 14 were.
One came to my mom’s house a while back to do the GPS thing. It was pouring rain and I spoke to him from inside her house while he got drenched.

6 out of how many? A few hundred thousand? Seems statistically normal.
I wonder if it would be bad manners to sic my terrier on the Census workers? Ok, not sic, just not remove him from the room. His bark is quite loud and disruptive. Besides, I*ve given them all the info 3 am required to give them ... the total number of people who live there and a contact number.

Please tell me that you’re not entertaining the thought of inviting them into your house. I don’t care if it’s raining like hell and there is lightning striking within 10 feet of them. They ain’t coming into my house or even on my porch.
