An immigration proposal circulated by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) would make it easier for foreign fashion models to work Americas catwalks.
Just dont bother asking Schumers office how it got there. Or why its now out of the bill.
POLITICO put the question to Schumers office five times. The main response: The provision wont be in the final version of the bill.
So does that mean that the next Gisele Bundchen might have to wait in line with other foreign workers for visas?

On the other hand, they may have a deleterious effect on the prices of Red Bull and cigarettes.
Tough call.
I guess I’ll have to pass on that career.
“fashion models have never blown anything up,”
Well, not in the “detonation of high explosives or other weapons of mass destruction” sense, if you get my meaning;))

Shouldn't 'naughty teacher' rules apply to such threads?
We have always had a reciprocal arrangement with other nations for providing instant visas for fashion models. I am very well acquainted with someone who was working as a fashion model 25 or 30 years ago and I recall that when she got a job in Italy or France, there was no trouble about issuing her one within a day or two. In fact, when she started working and her agency wanted to send her to Italy to work, she didn’t have a passport, but one was rushed through for her.
We usually have the same courtesy for foreign fashion models to come here. Every country seems to consider foreign women more exotic, different, more marketable. In Italy they like the all-American perky blonde cheerleader type and here we bring in Slavic, Scandinavian, or Ethiopian types. It’s not as though we’re taking jobs from each other since there is an exchange of labor.
I am trying to picture the Bouncer from ICE at the Kennedy Airport immigration counter, guarding a velvet rope and letting only the Beautiful People come in.....
There should be no visa limits for fashion models. We clearly have a serious shortage and I want one for my guest worker.
I don’t recall any fashion models coming from Mexico.
Well, as long as they haven’t been ‘endowed’ with detonable material, then OK.
This thread is useless without pictures. How else is one to judge and weigh this question without ah, ‘’visual aides’’?
