A Mississippi congressman has compared the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico to "chocolate milk" according to a story Monday on The Huffington Post.

Rep. Gene Taylor, D-Miss., flew over the spill in the Gulf this past weekend and said it's not as bad as he expected.

Haley Barbor is saying its serious but not catastrophic the way its being overhyped by the media. There was also an environmental scientist on FOX yesterday who seems to feel the same way.

The chocolate milk analogy is stupid but we should not forget that the media also told us that they were eating each other in New Orleans.

Your post wasn’t on my screen when I posted. But I guess it won’t hurt to say it more than once.

Seriously, the dem Taylor says it’s no big deal because Obama told him to say that. Who better to pull o’s nuts out of the fire than a local office holder.

Well this is a bad situation but I’m sure the Gene Taylor is worried about both the environment as well as the thousands upon thousands of jobs in his district (Mississippi Gulf Coast). He probably understands that this administration will use this to try to shut down or further suppress the oil and gas industry. He knows that it can’t be good for the fishing as well as oil/gas/chemical industrial base on the Gulf Coast.

Perhaps Barbour and Haley do not want this oil spill to be used as a substitute for a currently poorly articulated national energy policy based on so trivial a reason e.g: “no more offshore drilling because of the current episode”.

Where do the the democrats come up with such colossal morons?

Over the last few weeks, the democrat party genius brigade has been claiming that Guam could tip over in the ocean and that it is too cold for there to be volcanos in Iceland.

Democrat voters like candidates so stupid that all they can do is what they’re told by the massas like Reid, Pelosim and the affirmative action bastard-in-chief.

It is a shame that some newer Freepers don’t know that Gene Taylor was of the 5 (only 5) that voted for Clinton’s impeachment......a conservative Dem.....one of the few, last, honest demonrats.

Also, he was in Coast Guard for 15 years, so he probably knows a thing or two about oil slicks on the gulf.

Gene Taylor is a thorn in Obama’s side. He votes like a conservative sometimes and talks like one too.

In WW2 the oil from sunken shipping and damaged rigs in the Gulf was 3 times the quantity in this spill. The coast seemed to rebound nicely, it will do it again. I personally think this is just enviro-hype designed to stifle additional off shore drilling and energy independence.
The greenies are eating this stiff up, it’s an opportunity to act alarmed to achieve a political goal.
