STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Staten Island Ferry may have been on Times Square terrorism suspect Faisal Shahzad’s list of potential New York targets.

Authorities found a hand-drawn map — believed to be sketched by Shahzad — of the city’s 4, 5 and 6 subway lines, the Bowling Green stop and the Staten Island Ferry, according to WABC-TV. The map was found on a Metro North train bound for Connecticut.

Authorities today brought terrorism and mass destruction charges against Shahzad, saying he has confessed to receiving explosives training in Pakistan. Charges were contained in a criminal complaint filed today in federal court in Manhattan. Shahzad was arrested overnight as he attempted to leave the country on a flight.

Since the report about the discovery of a ferry map, the Coast Guard has yet to change its Maritime Security, or MARSEC, level, in regards to the ferry.

"The MARSEC level has remained the same. I can’t speculate on what the drawings mean," said Petty Officer Third Class Barbara Miller, a Coast Guard spokeswoman.

I guess he was going to a Tea Party rally on Staten Island. There is no other explanation. None whatsoever.

I guess we’re not allowed to question him on that, you know, just to see if his pals are handling those targets. Naw... that would be too harsh.

Yeah, after changing clothes for the cameras, it seems he left everything at the scene except his passport and drivers license.

The Ferry used to also transport cars. That was terminated after 9/11. Visualize a van full of gasoline dumping its load onto the loaded Ferry floor and igniting it.
