If there is only one of these black candidates that wins their race for Congress, I hope it’s Col. West. He seems like he would make a great politician. If it gets too bad, he can just fire a pistol next to some dumbocrats head to get things rolling.... : )
A close second is Star Parker. She has a great story that can really resonate with poor blacks. Her mantra should be if I can make it out of poverty, you can too. Get off the government plantation, it’s killing you!
Every time I hear Col. West speak, I become more impressed.
About one millisecond.
Thanks for my new tagline. I hope you don’t mind =).
I didn’t have enough room to give you cred w/ the tagline, so I posted it on my profile.
I just love this article. I am very happy it’s in the NYT today. It was respectful of the Tea Party. I think maybe pigs are flying today.
Harriet Tubman said, “I grew up like a neglected weed — ignorant of liberty, having no experience of it”.
“I had reasoned this out in my mind, there was one of two things I had a right to, liberty or death; if I could not have one, I would have the other.”
Frederick Douglass-
“I am a Republican, a black, dyed-in-the-wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress”.
We've got one already. It's called the Tea Party.
Neither do I. It is, however, encouraging to see that a demographic group that has so long been deluded into "staying on the plantation" is starting to show serious signs of breaking free. The increase in black GOP candidates -- and strong, conservative candidates at that -- is hopefully a symptom that a significant number of black Americans are realizing that conservatism is far more in line with their personal beliefs than the race-hustling politics of the leftists.
My bet is that the liberals would change it to the Democrat Congressional Black Caucus and bar the more numerous Republicans.

You’re welcome. I am flattered. Thanks.
See you in November. Liberty tastes so sweet!
See you in November...... Rush’s new parody which has become my favorite!!
It is good to hear from you. Back in 1974 I realized that I could no longer be a Democrat. I changed Parties and completed the transition from liberal Democrat to conservative Republican.
Since then I have regretfully concluded that I am far more conservative than Republican. I am still in the Party and very active. I am also extremely disappointed with the way the Republican Party performed under George W. Bush.
That doesn’t mean that I will leave the Party. Right now there is a struggle to bring the Party back toward the politial right.
It really bothers me that black voters continue to support the Democratic Party in such large numbers. Democrats, with their paternalistic leftist policies, have damaged our people far more that the Republicans ever have.
There are still too many of us who blindly support Barack Obama, without any idea of the effect his Marxist oriented policies will have on everyone in this country.
I am 75 years old. I have seen the almost unbelievable changes in racial realities during my lifetime. It galls me that the incredible improvement in opportunities for our people have resulted in the election of a third world, anti-American Marxist like Obama.
I’ve got to run now, but again, it is good to hear from you. Incidentally, if you get a few minutes to spare you might find my newsletter of interest. The address is first-edition-online.com. I appreciate feedback.
AMEN!!
I heard him speak a couple of times. He's great and he has a lot of energy. His campaign seems to be running smoothly I would say his chances are pretty good.
good luck gentlemen....
And one lady...remember. I am really excited about this. If I can clean the skeletons out of my closet, I think I’ll run when I turn 60, which is some ways off.
