Right now, there's no oil within 50 miles of the Mississippi. Eighty percent of the oil slick, as it's called and appropriately -- 80 percent is literally just sheen or film right on top of -- on top of the water. That is not toxic. It's not particularly damaging.

Thank you. I’ve linked to this interview in a couple of other threads but it seems that folks from both sides desperately want catastrophe to use as a club against the other side.

I haven’t forgotten the media telling us that they were eating each other in New Orleans.

The sad thing is that many FReepers have morphed into New Orleans democrats too busy looking for someone to blame to bother taking a clear look at the situation.
