Thomas Wright had broken into McLamb's home and stolen items several times before, was a suspect in other break-ins in the neighborhood and was out on bond while awaiting trial for a 2009 break-in, Green said.

Some folks just need killin'.

A question to you all.....what is the best revolver (not pistol, revolver) that can be used for "home defense"?

My thinking is that the report should be extremely loud, and the round accurate up to about 30 yards.

So.....?

I'M NOT AN EXPERT, BUT I LIKE THE 357 MAGNUM!!!

:)

I prefer the .88 Magnum, it shoots through schools.

A little more specificity...who make it? Cost? Are there different models?

Yeah. Any .357 will do you well. Colt, S&W, Taurus. No more than four inch barrel I’d think.

Best for home defense is a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with “00” buckshot. It hard to miss and lethal enough to stop a black bear.

I have a .357 Dan Wesson, in great shape, that is for sale. It's got a wonderful trigger. First double action revolver I could actually hit something with. Firing single action it breaks very smoothly.

It's not mine, but a friend of my wife inherited it and wants to sell it. She's happy with her .38. :)

Absolutely true....but very hard to store in the bedside table!

Plus, when not "in use", where does one store it safely? And no, I don't intend to buy a "gun cabinet".

Also...given the 12 guage...what make/model?? Cost?

We should start a publicity campaign by posting big photos of each of these ex-punks all over their home neighborhoods -- with a big "Ø" across their face, and a big

"Shot by Armed Homeowner"

or

"Shot by Legally Armed Citizen"

label -- in red...

"My thinking is that the report should be extremely loud, and the round accurate up to about 30 yards."

44 Special -- unless you have hands and arms like "Ahnuld" -- then go with 44 Magnum...
