He faced a potentially bruising re-election campaign this fall.

Is there a good Conservative running for that seat?

All I know is that there is a young 38 year old GOP DA by the name of Sean Duffy that is running against him as stated in the above article.

Two: There's Sean Duffy, a prosecutor from Ashland, kind of a prettyboy (he was on MTV's "Real World" in its early days), but his policy positions are all good, AFAIK, and he's from a logging family, which accounts for much of the area economy, and has played a logger himself in lumberjack competitions.

There's also Dan Mielke, who is a farmer and anything but a prettyboy. I like Mielke a little better, but he doesn't have party establishment support. I think either one would be fine as a congressman; Duffy probably better as a candidate.
